Here are some captures from a music video I was working on last month. It was shot on 16mm film.
I did little things like comped out light cords and added the little fireflies, lights and explosions. Due to massive time constraints it does not at all reflect my best work (at all, hahahaha sad) but the actual shots are still quite pretty.
This colour palette is so me! I wish they were adult-sized.
Phillip Lim is one of my favourite designers, particularly among the younger and more modern – i.e. disregarding the classic fashion houses like Chanel, Givenchy etc. Anyway, I think his kid’s collection is just adorable. If I had a kid (haha), I’d dress them like this.
Most of all I love that he takes pieces from his past collections and makes them kiddy-sized, and that they work! So cute.
Here are some poor little drawings that I will never finish. These were all for fun, not for work. I always finish my work drawings, while my for-fun drawings lay abandoned!
I love Penelope Cruz. I think she’s just the prettiest lady in the world, especially in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. I am looking forward to seeing her in Broken Embraces – it is directed by Pedro Almodóvar, who I think is just brilliant.
Do you have particular songs that remind you of a certain holiday, summer, year of your life?
Llamada de Emergencia by Daddy Yankee reminds me so much of South America, especially Peru and Colombia. Daddy Yankee is huge over there! The song isn’t my taste at all (I’m more of a Simon and Garfunkel, Kinks, Beatles, Velvet Undergound person ) but I love it for all the memories it has for me. Actually, necesito practicar mi español. Antes, yo sabía todas las palabras de esta canción. ¿Quizá debo blog en español? jaja.
What songs hold particular memories for you? I love listening on songs from my tween years – Blink 182, No Doubt, Garbage, The Spice Girls. I was also a massive fan of Madonna (Material Girl, Lucky Star etc) and Elvis as a 10 year old, even though they were well before my time.
