Pete Cashmore, Geek Crush

Just to pre-warn you, this post is a completely pointless excuse to post pictures of the incredibly handsome Pete Cashmore.

If you don’t follow Social Media, you probably have never heard of Pete Cashmore. He is a 24 year old entrepreneur from Scotland (thank you once again, Scotland) and creator of Mashable.com; the 6th most popular blog in the world, and worth somewhere around 125 million dollars. He is one of the most well-recognised “internet celebrities” and has almost 2 million followers on twitter.

To give you an idea of why everyone is making such a fuss, here’s a quote about Pete from gawker.com regarding the possibility of AOL purchasing Mashable.

A sale to the content-obsessed internet company would mean Mashable’s founder Pete Cashmore really would have everything. Youth, being all of 24 years old. Looks, of the dark and smoldering sort the Scotsman pulls off so well (Inc. magazine popularized him as “the Brad Pitt of the blogosphere”). And cash.

Forgot about how confusing it is for a geeky social media entrepreneur to be this good looking and stylish, and enjoy the following pictures (and video):

Hooray for suit vests!

Steve Jobs at The Oscars

I can’t even express to you how much I love it when I can combine fashion and nerdyness in this blog.

Fancy seeing you here!

Jobs is at the Oscars supporting Pixar’s ‘Up’ and is looking very smart in a suit I cannot identify. I am glad to see he put away his black turtleneck for the occasion.

Steve Jobs is the co-founder of Apple, previously a CEO at Pixar and currently the largest shareholder in Walt Disney. He is the idol of technology-enthusiasts and entrepreneurs the world over.

And on a slightly un-related note, I still very much want the Steve Jobs doll:

Adorable, right?
